I can't believe the number of people who don't give a rat's arse about behavior. All that matters is winning.
Some of these attitudes reinforce my opinion that all school-sponsored athletics should be eliminated.

We had a player who was killed in a car crash two days before our regional opener against Chatham this year. I talked to one of the players, a former top-notch P.E. student, and basically told him that whether you win this game or lose it, the sun will come up tomorrow. People simply don't appreciate the fact that in the grand scheme of things, winning a ballgame ain't that important. I want people to respect my character and moral compass rather than how many games I won. I've lost games because I sat/suspended kids who were asholes and fckups in school. In the short term, it sucked. But, the lessons learned by everybody involved were priceless.
